Taxinine M is a taxane compound originally isolated from species of the yew tree under the Taxus genus. Taxinines inhibit DNA polymerase. Taxinine M displays anticancer activity, inhibiting lung cancer cell proliferation. Like other taxanes, taxinine M may also promote microtubule polymerization and prevent microtubule depolymerization.
